I am a Porirua based New Zealand Landscape artist. I like to paint with oil, acrylic and watercolour, and am inspired by the beautiful scenery in Porirua – our harbour, hills, beaches and inlets. There are also many artists in my family that inspire me. In 2014 I exhibited with my Mother, two aunties and my sister in the Bebe’s Babes exhibition at Pataka. This was a fantastic exhibition to organize with my family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We all paint in different styles and so the exhibition was of great interest to many people.
I have taken part in the Pataka Arts Awards over the past 6 years, and in 2019 I was awarded the Highly Commended Prize for my painting “Those Hills”- Pauatahanui, Oil Painting. In 2020 I won the People’s Choice award for my “Camborne Boatsheds – Pauatahanui Inlet 2020” painting. In 2017 I exhibited at the New Zealand Art Show. From 2014-2016 I exhibited as an Artist at the Bay Gallery in Plimmerton. Being involved in this gallery with 5 other local artists was a fantastic experience and I learnt a lot. Sadly this closed in July 2016, so opening my new gallery at Unit 22 2 Northpoint Street has been my latest endeavour.
Richard Young, a New Zealand Landscape Photographer also exhibits at the Robyn Hall Art Gallery which opened Nov 2016.
The Robyn Hall Art Gallery is open by appointment only – phone 0272839604 to check.
I would love to have you visit.
If you like the style of my paintings but have something particular in mind that you would like painted, please contact me to discuss a commission. This process usually involves looking at photos you may want me to work from, or looking at photos that I have taken, discussion of size, medium, style, colours, and budget that you want me to work within. I have had many customers satisfied with the work I have produced for them.
My paintings and Prints are currently available for viewing at: Backyard Cafe, Palmers Plimmerton, Pataka Toi Store
Gift cards are available Plimmerton Palmers, Wellington Florist Plimmerton, Pataka Toi Store or in my own gallery
